Cute things

In an effort to capture the baby's antics...here are some of the cute things she has done up till now:

1. When she was really young (newborn to a couple of months old), she would sleep with her hands up in the air like somebody had told her to stick em up.
2. She would put her finger on her chin and get a really pensive look (first few months)
3. When she was about 4-5 months...she did this wiggle dance while lying down.
4. When she started crawling, she never actually crawled, she would crawl with 1 leg and then drag the other leg behind her.
5. When she started truly babbling non-stop around 15-16 months, she would take her little index finger and point it horizontally with the palm facing up and point to something and say "Doby, Doby, doby" for ever.
6. She equally loves and is terrified of the vacuum cleaner at the same time.
7. She scrunches up her face and makes a sour face everytime we say something she doesn't want to do like "no paci" or going to school.
8. She likes to have one paci in her mouth and one in her hand while sleeping...she doesn't have a lovey...just the pacis.
9. She loves it when I dry my hair with a towel and shake my head up and down.

That's it for now...

First words

I am realizing that I am forgetting to capture all the things that the baby says and does and that's not fair to her. I have a bad memory for anything except faces and dates, so I need to start documenting things that she can go back and read one day about her own childhood because God knows I won't remember any stories. So, today on her 18 month birthday I just want to record all the words she says. Technically, her first words were "quack quack", but she somehow lost it after a couple of months and didn't say anything for a while. Then, her next "first" word was bubble. Today she says:

Mama
Dada
Baa
More
Puppy
Please
Yummy
Bubble
Balloon (Baboon)
Puppy
Her name
Bye Bye
Hi
Hot
Water (Wawa)

There might be a few more but I am can't remember right now.

She can also tell you what sound a dog, cow, sheep and elephant make.

She can also do a few tricks! She will shiver and grit her teeth if you ask her if she's cold. She will put her hand out and say "Ha" for something hot. She will yawn if you ask her to. She will blink her eyes if you ask her if she's tired. She loves to clap. She can point to all her body parts and identify them.

Mama okay

We have been sickness ridden lately. My little bubloo had a double ear infection and was completely out of commission. This is the first time she wasn't eating, playing, sleeping well while being sick. My little busy bee who usually can't sit still for even a second just wanted to be held and sit in my lap all day.

This is was all very sweet and cute and we bonded greatly. But now she is way too much in love with me!!! She wants to spend every moment attached to me physically. Now again its all nice and sweet but I could use a little me time to at least pee or something!

And of course, thanks to all the cuddling, she passed her lovely germs on to me and I've been sick as a dog for almost 2 weeks now. And J is out of town to boot...soo....good times! And since J is out of town, I have to put the baby to sleep even though I am hacking a lung the whole time I am trying to rock her. Well, the past couple of nights I've been coughing so much that it makes me throw up so I have to haul ass from the baby's room and take her with me to puke! The first night she was intrigued and almost thought it was funny. Last night, she was freaked out and almost started crying and I had to stop throwing up and hold her to reassure her that mama was okay. I guess all the bonding has paid off and she does really love me :)
